Clarecastle Relishing Chance To Take On Champion Neighbours In Clare SHC

Clarecastle manager Brian Russell says everyone is looking forward to the challenge of taking on neighbours and county champions Ballyea this weekend.

The Magpies come into the game off the back of a battling draw against O’Callaghan’s Mills last time out, as they reeled in a four point deficit to claim a point.

Russell says the derby element will add plenty local interest

Meanwhile Broadford manager Jimmy Browne is confident there is more to come from his side as they chase their first points of the campaign.

It took a late surge from Ballyea to see off the south-east Clare men last time out, with a showdown against Cratloe to come this weekend.

Browne says they will have learned plenty from their first outing
