Goals in either half from Fred Hegarty and James Organ helped Terence Fahy’s side to a 2-18 to 0-17 win over the Deise.

Hegarty’s goal from a penalty came on the stroke of half time to see the lead by 1-8 to 0-9 at the beak having played against the breeze
Waterford rallied and stayed in touch, but Organ’s goal with five minutes left to play eventually put the result beyond doubt.
