Clare U 21’s see off Limerick

 

The Clare Under 21 are Cork bound after overcoming Limerick by 3 points in the Munster Under 21 Football Quarter Final at the Gaelic Grounds last night .

Colm Collin’s side went point for point with the Treatymen early on and were initially tied at 3 a piece.

Clare’s goal then came on the quarter hour through Cathal McInerney , who closely followed that with a point , with another then coming from Stephen Tierney – Two more points from Limerick left the side 1-5 to 5 points at half time.

A point from Darren O’Neill and Clare second goal again by McInerney clinch the win and the sides finished 2-7 to 10 points and see the Banner travel to Pairc Ui Chaoimh on the 28th for the Semi Final.

Speaking to Clare FM after the match Manager Colm Collins praised his side’s performance.
