The 2013 season for the Clare seniors begins in under an hour’s time as the Banner begin their campaign in the Waterford Crystal Cup.
The Banner take on UL in the competition’s Quarter Final, in their first competitive game of the year and just four weeks before the beginning of the national league.
A hose of Clare’s senior panel will be in action on both sides – seven Claremen form part of the students’ contingent, among them Darach Honan, Seadna Morey, Shane Golden and Paul Flanagan.
UL defeated Waterford last weekend.
This afternoon’s match takes place in Sixmilebridge and throws in at 2:00. We’ll have regular updates here on Clare FM.

There are also two quarter finals down for decision in the Walsh Cup
All Ireland finalists Galway take on Carlow at Dr. Cullen Park while Wexford play Offaly in Blackwater.
While in football, Sligo and Leitrim go head to head at Markievicz Park in the final of the FBD League.
All of those games throw in at 2:00.
