Five of the Clare minor hurling team who took part in last year’s All Ireland Minor Championship semi-final with Dublin will start for the Banner tomorrow night when they begin this year’s Munster campaign against Cork.
One of those, Kilmaley’s Aidan McGuane, will captain the side.
He’s joined in the half-back line by Eoin Tuohy of Feakle and Cratloe’s Shane Gleeson.
Another Cratloe man, Shane O’Leary, starts at corner back alongside David McCarthy of Inagh/Kilnamona and Tulla’s Niall Bolton, ahead of Corofin’s Liam Corbett in goal.
David Conroy of St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield lines out in midfield alongside Clonlara’s Ciaran Downey.
His clubmate Ian Galvin starts at centre-forward alongside Clarecastle’s Bobby Duggan and Stephan Ward.
Conor Deasy of Sixmilebridge, Clonlara’s David Begley and Kilmaley’s Cian Moloney complete the starting fifteen.
