Clare team for Munster football semi final to be named later

The Clare team for Sunday’s Munster football semi final with Cork is set to be named this evening.

Enda Coughlan and Michael O Shea have been ruled out  while midfielder and captain Gary Brennan is expected to be fit to line up against the 2010 All Ireland champions.

Cork’s last meeting with Clare was in last year’s Munster final which the Rebels won by  3-16 to 0-13.

Lissycasey clubman  Joe Hayes who is set to start in goals on Sunday admits Clare need to perform for a full 70 minutes in Cusack park to avoid a repeat of that result

Clare are the last side to get their Munster campaign underway having seen their fellow Divison four rivals hammered in their ties with Kerry and Cork already.

However Cork Boss Conor Counihan doesn’t expect a similaar situation on Sunday in Cusack park

Throw in on Sunday is at 3-30.

The Clare junior’s are also gearing up for thier opening game in the Munster championship as they face Cork in the curtain raiser on Sunday.

Clare lost out to Kerry in last year’s final in Miltown while Cork will be looking to call on several players who have featured in U21 All Ireland win’s  over the past number of years.
