Clare Suffer Heavy Defeat To Cork In National Hurling League

Clare have been all but consigned to relegation to Division 1B of the National Hurling League following a heavy defeat to Cork in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chiosóg.

Three goals in either half saw the visitors exact revenge for last year’s All Ireland Final defeat claiming a 6-20 to 0-23 win this afternoon.

Clare had started the second half brightly, however, three goals in 10 minutes quashed any chance of a comeback.

Brian Lohan will now also be without both Peter Duggan and David Fitzgerald for the remainder of the league campaign, with both players being shown red cards.
