The Banner county has seen a new World champions crowned this morning at the World Handball Championships in Kilkenny.
Sean Considine claimed gold following a 15-5, 15-9 victory in this morning’s world 15&u final.

The Clooney-Quin native, representing Team Ireland secured his place in the final courtesy of his semi final win over Tyrone’s Aaron McElhone.
Kilkishen’s Eoin Shanahan also reached the semi final stage of the competition but was unfortunately defeated by runner up, Shane Doyle of Kilkenny.
