Munster SHC: Clare 3-20 Limerick 0-24
Clare’s 2025 championship campaign signed off on a positive note with a five point win over Limerick at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
Two brilliant second half goals for Ryan Taylor were key; with Clare’s goal not being breached for the first time in this championship.
Mark Rodgers was in fine form and he struck for Clare’s opening goal after 26 minutes to see his lead by 1-13 to 0-10 at the break; having played with aid of a considerable wind.
Taylor’s first goal after 47 minutes sent Clare 2-18 to 0-14 clear, but Limerick halved that deficit before his second arrived five minutes from the end to put the result beyond doubt.
On a day that saw Diarmuid Ryan make his return from injury off the bench, Clare’s defence was resolute throughout, limiting the Shannonsiders inside line to just 0-4 from play; with 0-17 of their tally from play overall.
Rodgers finished with a personal tally of 1-8 with eight scorers for Clare overall, including two incredible sideline cuts from Peter Duggan.
Limerick will now face Cork in the Munster final; with Tipperary taking third spot in the qualifying positions.
