Clare will take on Antrim in the semi-finals of the All Ireland ladies intermediate football championship.
Wayne Freeman’s side booked their last four spot with a 3-14 to 3-8 win over Westmeath, on a day that saw Fidelma Marrinan post a personal tally of 2-9.
Clare raced into an early lead with three goals inside the opening ten minutes, but Westmeath finished the first half well to see the sides level at 3-5 each at half-time.
Freeman says once players were able to reset at the break, they controlled the game from there.
Elsewhere it is also Northern opposition for the Clare junior camogie side in their All Ireland semi-final.
A comfortable win over Cavan sees John Carmody’s side set up a showdown with Armagh, with that game also to be played in two weeks time.
