There were also calls for Clare to strongly oppose the abolishment of the U21 football championship

There was unanimous support for the ratification of both senior management teams, with no debate as they were proposed and seconded.

Donal Og Cusack, Aongus O'Brien and Jimmy Payne are the new faces in the hurling set up, while David O'Brien, Mick Bohan and strength and conditioning coach Keith Hennessey come in with the footballers,

The meeting also heard that the indoor facilities at the new center of excellence in Caherlohan will be in use in the coming weeks, while the pitches may not be used until the new year.

Cooraclare's PJ McGuane and Miltown's Noel Walsh both spoke strongly against the proposed abolishment of the U21 Football Championship, with McGuane warning it's a move that could decimate rural clubs.

There was also a discussion around the lack of a yearbook for 2015, with several delegates expressing disappointment at its demise.

County Convention was set for December 16th, where a new chairman will be elected in place of the outgoing Michael McDonagh.
