Clare Senior Football Championship Quarter-Final Draw

The draw has been made for the quarter finals of the Clare Senior Football Championship.

With the competition disrupted as a result of Clare’s hurling successes, just two games are confirmed.

Lissycasey take on Ennistymon and defending champions Kilmurry Ibrickane meet Eire Og in a repeat of the Cusack Cup Final which went to a replay.

Kilrush Shamrocks play the winners of Cooraclare and Cratloe, while the losers of that game, Clondegad or Wolfe Tones meet Doonbeg.

The relegation semi-finals will see St. Breckan’s take on Shannon Gaels and Liscannor against the losers of Clondegad and Wolfe Tones.

In the Senior B semi-finals, Kilkee meet Doora-Barefield and O’Curry’s will take on the odd team out from the Wolfe Tones/Clondegad/Cratloe/Cooraclare bracket.

Elsewhere, Peter Canavan has confirmed he has stepped down as manager of the Fermanagh senior footballers.

The Fermanagh County Board met last night to discuss the decision of the former Tyrone legend to quit after 2 years in charge.
