Clare Senior Football Championship Fixtures

While the semi-finals of the hurling Championship don’t go ahead this weekend, there are a number of key games particularly in the Clare Senior Football Championship, where one team faces double-duty.

The weekend’s Championship action begins tomorrow evening, when Clondegad take on Cooraclare in Kilmihil in a Round 3 encounter.

Extra-time will be played in the 7:30 throw-in if needed, but both sides will be hoping for as easy a win as possible because the winners will be return to Kilmihil on Monday to face Doonbeg in the Quarter-Finals.

This weekend’s other Quarter-Final takes place on Sunday, when Kilrush meet Cratloe in Clarecastle.

While there are no Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals, there is one relegation play-off on Saturday.  St. Joseph’s play Tulla in Sixmilebridge from 12:30, while an hour later in Tulla Feakle meet Sixmilebridge for a pace inthe Intermediate Championship Final.

There’s also a number of key underage games this weekend.

Saturday sees a minor hurling semi-final between Inagh/Kilnamona and Clarecastle, while in the Under-21 Football Championship Eire Og meet Kilmihil/Shannon Gaels/Killimer in a semi-final.

Tonight, meanwhile, Eire Og and Lissycasey meet in Cooracalre with the winners facing Kilmurry in Sunday’s Minor Football Final.
