Two Clare schools competing in this year’s Harty Cup will be looking to reach the competition’s knock-out stages this afternoon.
Following wins in their opening matches in the competition, both St Caiman’s of Shannon and St Flannan’s of Ennis know that further victories today will guarantee them a top-two spot in their group, and a place in the Quarter Finals.
Following their victory over Blackwater College, Flannan’s will today take on Thurles CBS in what’s being billed as the game of the round.
Throw in in Nenagh is at 2:30.
Trainer John Minogue says that while a loss today wouldn’t end their involvement in the competition, a win is still vital
Meanwhile St Caiman’s will be seeking victory over Templemore this afternoon.
In their last outing the Shannon school proved too strong for Coláiste Chríost Rí and today they take on a team who also won in their opening match
Speaking ahead of their clash in Claughaun, manager Alan Cunningham has been spelling out it’s importance.
