Clare Rugby Star Honoured With Award For Contribution To Society

A Clare Rugby star has been honoured at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Kilmihil’s Eimear Considine, who announced her retirement last November after a glittering eleven year career received the Zurich Contribution to Irish Society Award at the Rugby Players Ireland Awards this week.

Considine, who made a try-scoring return to international action last year, following two ACL injuries and the birth of her son Caolán was recognised for her Irish sporting legacy and longstanding contribution to mental wellbeing discourse.

Tadgh Beirne, Dan Sheehan, Erin King and Sam Prendergast also picked up major accolades on the night.
