Clare ready to get 2016 National Football League underway

Clare get their Allianz National Football League Division Three campaign underway this afternoon.

The Banner host Sligo in Miltown Malbay, looking to put the first points of the year on the board.

Colm Collins has named two debutantes in the starting 15 with Cian O'Dea of Kilfenora and Cooraclare's Pierce Lillis making their senior bow.

Clare won their opening game last year against Wexford, but followed up with just two more wins including against todays opponents.

Manager Colm Collins says they're out to improve on that in 2016.

While Armagh have made the trip to Páirc Tailteann in Navan to face Meath. 

O'Moore Park hosts the meeting of Laois and Galway. 

While Tyrone begin life in the second tier with a meeting with Cavan in Omagh.

All of today's games throw in at 2, bar the meeting of Louth and London which is underway at 1pm
