A Clare racing driver is hopeful success in an upcoming race weekend will further her case for competing in the Le Mans 24 hour event in the future.
Laura O’ Connell is finalising preparations for competing in the Racing Women Nations Trophy at Donnington Park in the UK across this weekend.

The Broadford native will be looking to secure a top two finish to qualify for a sponsored drive in the Radical Gulf Championships which take place in Abu Dhabi.
She says she faces a stern task, made more difficult by the changing weather conditions.
