Davy Fitzgeralds side were comfortable 1-20 to 1-9 winners over the Deise at the WIT complex.
David Reidys goal after 13 minutes helped the Banner to a 1-12 to 1-3 lead at the break, with John Conlon landing 0-4 from play.
The trend continued after the break as an inexperienced Waterford side tried to stifle the Clare attack, but to no avail.
It's three out of three for the Banner so far in 2016, and they will now contest the Munster Hurling League Final on January 31st, with Limerick the likely opponents.
The Treatymen had a 3-17 t 0-18 win over Cork this afternoon.
