The match finished 3-09 to 0-14 in favour of the home side at Semple Stadium, Collins admits his team now have plenty to do before their next match against Carlow.
Elsewhere in Division Four, Leitrim remained unbeaten as they overcame Wicklow 1-17 to 0-11, Carlow beat Antrim 3-15 to 2-17 and Waterford were seven point winners over London.
The results mean Clare, Tipperary and Leitrim top the table on seven points, though Clare have played one game more than the other two.
