This evening’s Sigerson Cup final will see at least one Clare player pick up a winners medal.
Eire Og’s Mark McInerney is the sole representative on the NUIG panel as they face a UL side with Miltown’s Oisin Looney, Kilmihil’s Ciaran Downes, Kilmurry Ibrickane’s Daniel Walsh and Kildysart’s Emmet McMahon set to play key roles.
It is just a second final appearance for UL, with Downes, McMahon and Walsh also set to be part of the Clare squad for Sunday’s National League trip to Roscommon.
Throw in this evening in Netwatch Cullen Park in Carlow is at 7.30pm
Meanwhile the first of this year’s Fitzgibbon Cup semi-finals take place this afternoon.
It is an all Galway derby as NUIG take on Mike Ryan’s GMIT in Salthill from 2pm
