Clare players enjoying more success at World handball championships in Dublin

In handball and Clare competitors continue to do well at the World handball championhips in Dublin
 

In the Girls U13 One wall:
Clare had a very strong start to the competition with Aine Lynch,Ella donnellan and Doireann Murphy all winning their first games, unfortunately Laura Philpot was unlucky to lose out in the same competition.
 
In 40×20:
In the girls U13 Aine Lynch lost out narrowly on a score of 15-11, 15-12 to Katie McCarty.
 
In the boys U15 Fergal Coughlan played some of his best handball to win on a score of 15-9, 15-2.
 
In the Boys Tiernan Agnew had a comfortable win with a score of 15-0, 15- 3 against Darragh McGrath.
 
In the Boys U17:
Colin Creehan played some impressive handball to win 21-9, 21-12.
Niall Bolton was also on form to win his tight game with a score of 21-19, 21- 9.
Barry Nash was also a conviencing winner with a score of 21-9, 21-0.
Unfortunately club mates Colin Corbett and Mark Lynch came up against each other, with Colin becoming the eventual winner on a score of 21-11, 21-13.
 
In the mens C Mike Baker recorded another great win and has progressed into the last 32 of a very tough competition.
 
In the mens B ciaran Malone came up against a very strong opponent and lost a hard fought for game on a score of  21-8, 21-15.
 
In the mens 45 and over Geared Coughlan has progressed to the next round.
 

 

In the boys U11 Mark Rodgers put on a fine display of handball to win in two straight games with a score of 15-5, 15-7.
 
In the boys U17 Paddy Fitzgerald was unlucky to lose out to an american in a tight game with a score of 21-20, 9- 21 5-11
