It's after Davy Fitzgeralds side eased to victory over Kerry in Sixmilebridge last night, winning by 2-27 to 0-8.

The home side struck 1-16 in the opening half, with Clooney/Quins's Peter Duggan finding the net.

He bagged his second goal late in the game, as Clare struck 1-10 unanswered in the final quarter.

A feature of last nights game was the manner in which the forward line were constantly interchanged, and selector Michael Browne says they'll continue to experiment ahead of the league opener in a months time.

Next up is a trip to Waterford on Sunday, while there's a trip to Limerick to come in 10 days time.

A win in either of those games would be enough to see the Banner into the decider.

Deise boss Derek McGrath has named a largely experimental team for Sunday's game, with just four of the side beaten by Cork last night retaining their places
