Clare minor ladies football manager and selector’s resign

The Clare minor football side have been rocked by the news that 3 of the management team have resigned ahead of their final Munster championship game tomorrow.

James Lafferty, Jamsie Pender and Martin Fennell all stepped down following what they have termed interference from another Clare underage manager and also difficulties with the Clare ladies board.

The decison by all three means that J.J O Dea is now set to take sole charge of the side ahead of tomorrow’s game in Gurteen at 3-30.

Chairman Johnny Hayes told Clare Fm that the county board were never aware of any problems with the Minor set up

Hayes has also confirmed that Clare will be fulfilling tomorrow’s Munster minor fixture against Tipperary.
