Clare’s run in this years Munster minor football championship is over following a 3-16 to 1-6 loss to Kerry.
The Kingdom struck for three second half goals in a powerful 30 minute showing, with Clare’s only shot on goal after the restart resulting in their sixth point of the night.
Gareth Murphy’s goal saw Clare lead by 1-5 to 0-5 at the break with the home side in Quilty having played with the aid of a strong wind.
Clare boss Joe Hayes says he’s proud of the effort his side put in, but felt they were punished for their own errors on the night.
Clare now enter the Tier 3 All Ireland championship with a quarter final tie next weekend, with the draws for that to be made later today
