Clare manager pleased with younger players efforts in Mc Grath Cup

Clare manager Michael Mc Dermott say’s the performance of younger players was the biggest highlight of yesterday’s Mc Grath win over UL in Doonbeg.

The Banner overcame the third level side by 18 points to 1-8 to set up a meeting with Cork next weekend.

The 7 point win saw underage players   Peter O Dwyer, Podge Collins and Shane Brennan all make significant impacts for the home side.

Mc Dermott has also confirmed to Clare fm  that Graham Kelly and David Tubridy both picked up knocks during yesterday’s win but both are expected to be fir for the clash with the 2010 All Ireland champions.
