The Slaneysiders travel to Ennis on Saturday knowing that if they were to overcome Davy Fitzgerald's men, then it would bring an early end to Clare's defence of the Liam McCarthy Cup.
The two teams met last year, with Clare requiring extra time to come through with a win.
