The Banner take on Limerick in the Munster Quarter Final in 8 days’ time, and continued preparations last night with a challenge game against reigning League champions Dublin in Miltown Malbay.

Clare lost 4-12 to 0-14 to the reigning League champions.

Clare captain Gary Brennan was substituted after just 15 minutes, but management say it was just a precautionary move.

Speaking after the game, Dubs boss Jim Gavin – whose parents both hail from West Clare – said he feels the Banner will be a side to take seriously in the Munster championship.
