Clare have slumped to their second defeat of the National football league after a 1-11 to 1-10 loss to Carlow today.
Clare led at the break by 8 points to 1-4 but had John Hayes sent off on the stroke of half time for an off the ball incident.

Gary Brennan goaled in the second half to help Clare into a lead but Mark Tubridy’s second half dismissal gave the inititive back to Carlow and they pushed on for a slender win.
