The Clare Ladies Footballers suffered an opening round defeat to Cork last night in their Munster Championship clash in Shannon.

The All Ireland Champions led by just four points at the break, but by the final whistle in Wolfe Tones it was a 20 points to 8 loss for the banner women.
Next up for John Burke’s charges is a clash against Kerry next weekend.
