Clare’s hopes of promotion from National football league divison four appear to be over after a 16 points to 1-10 loss in Cusack Park today to Roscommon.
Clare trailed at half time by 10 points to six but drew to within a point of the Connacht champions after Gary Brennan goaled midway through the second half.

But further scores from Roscommon helped them to the win and almost certainley condems Clare to another year in Division four.
