Clare LGFA Chair Welcomes News of Equal Government Funding For Gaelic Games Players

The chairperson of the Clare Ladies Football board is welcoming the news that funding streams for intercounty female players will be increased.

Minister of State for Sport Jack Chambers confirmed that the level of funding for both male and female players will be equalised, with both now set to receive €1,200 each.

Under the old model, female players had been allocated just €400 euro.
