Clare’s ladies football captain is expressing her relief at the association’s decision to opt for a split season model for 2021.

The LGFA’s plan released over the weekend will see the All-Ireland Championships played after the National League.

The club season will commence later in the year with county boards encouraged to run their local competitions once their inter-county team exit the Championship.

Clare’s ladies will begin their Division 2A league campaign by welcoming Wexford on Sunday May 23rd.

Skipper Caoimhe Harvey says she’s happy to be in a position to be able to dedicate her season to both club and county.
