Currently three of Neil Moynihans side are fulfilling a dual mandate as they are also part of the camogie squad.
The footballers play Westmeath in their final group game on Sunday, while the camogie side begin their Munster Championship tomorrow
Moynihan says it's a situation that will have to be addressed.
That game gets underway in Cooraclare on Sunday, where a win for Clare would see them avoid Donegal in the semi finals.
