Ladies National Football League Division 3: Clare 2-11 – Offaly 1-13
Wayne Freeman’s charges have kept their hopes of promotion from Division Three of the National Football League alive following victory over Offaly this afternoon.
The Banner got off to an electric start on away turf with early goals from Fidelma Marrinan and Lizzy Roche catapulting Clare into a 2-03 to 0-03 lead with 20 minutes on the clock.

To their credit, the Faithful County rallied intensely in the second period and managed to reduce the deficit to the bare minimum, however Clare would hold out for the win on a full time score of 2-11 to 1-13.
The Clare ladies will be hoping to build on their success when they face Down in Cusack Park on Sunday, February 26th.
