Two Clare players were on the Mary I College side that defeated Kerry in the first round of the Jim Kennedy Cup yesterday, becoming the first college team to defeat a County team in the 3 years of the competition.

Louise Woods of the Banner and Roisin Looney of Cooraclare represented the banner county in the comprehensive 3-08 to 0-07 win.
