Clare Ladies Football AGM

In Ladies football and tonight sees the holding of the Clare County Board’s AGM.

A new chairperson is set to be elected after Johnny Hayes used last month’s board meeting to announce that he is stepping down from the role, while delegates will also hear calls for a review of Championships at Junior, Intermediate and Senior grades.

Proceedings at the West County Hotel begin at 7:00.

Meanwhile, Kilrush Community School kept the Clare Ladies Football Flag flying high yesterday when they became the second school from the county to qualify for a place in a Munster Final when at Charleville they defeated Christ the King Secondary School from Cork City in the Junior C semi final by a single point. 

The final score was 5-6 to 5-5.
