There was success for Clare hurling on both sides of the Atlantic this weekend.
After an absence of 17 years, the reformed Clare hurling club in New York enjoyed back to back championship wins after a 1-15 to 1-11 victory against Tipperary, to follow up on their opening round win over Limerick.
The team is managed by former Clare dual star and Tubber native Noelle Comyn, while the team coach is former All Ireland winner with Galway, Jonathan Glynn.
Meanwhile, three Sixmilebridge men were part of the Sean Treacy’s side who won the London intermediate hurling championship on Sunday afternoon.
2013 Clare championship winning captain Aidan Qulligan, along with his brother Gerard and Cathal O’Connor picked up medals after victory over Fulham Irish.
