The hunt for Clare’s next hurling manager steps up a gear later today as nominations for the successor to Ger O Loughlin are finalised.
The county board set this evening as its deadline for accepting any possible interested candidates for the role with a committee set to be put in place at next tuesday’s board meeting to decide on a suitable candidate
Davy Fitzgerald remains heavily linked with the job while a number of local candidates are also understood to have been put forward by clubs across the county as possible successors to Sparrow with no decison expected until next month at the earliest.
