Conor Cooney had scored the important goal for the Mills, but it wasn’t to be enough.

The 2008 champions claimed three late scores to run out 0-11 to 1-05 winners.

Newmarket, meanwhile, had the better of Tubber in Clarecastle this afternoon, running out winners on a final scoreline of 1-12 to 0-08.

The Blues had led by six points at the break, 0-09 to 0-03, and a mixture of Tubber wides and a goal from Anthony Gilmartin saw them through to the semi-final.

Meanwhile, Clooney/Quin will play Senior A Championship Hurling next year, having beaten St. Joseph’s 0-17 to 0-12.

Doora/Barefield now play Broadford, with the losers dropping to Senior B in 2013.
