The remaining blitzes for boys and girls U10 and U11 took place across the weekend in all venues, with over 100 children travelling to Tuamgraney, Tulla, Clooney, Kilkishen, Newmarket, Toonagh, Clarecastle.
All-Ireland Singles Championship
Caitriona Millane lost out in her maiden year to Catriona Casey, Casey went on then to a comprehensive win in the semi-finals and plays Roscommon’s Fiona Tully in the final. Tully overcame Limerick’s Martina McMahon in her semi-final.
Diarmaid Nash had a clinical win against last years Intermediate Champion Gavin Coyle on Saturday and came up against Paul Brady on Sunday in the semi-final. Brady is in serious form and the result was not to be for Diarmaid on the day. Brady will now face Robbie McCarthy in the final who defeated David Walsh of Cork in his semi-final.
Leah Minogue will play Cuileann Burke(Mayo) in what should be a tight game Saturday. Chloe Philpott will play Alannah Coggeran of Roscommon on Friday evening in Abbeyknockmoy. Amber Nolan will play Farrah Ryan(Carlow) Saturday.

Club News
Clooney Quin had the finals of their parish league on Friday night last. They had competitive games over two weeks with over 80 children from 10-17yrs taking part playing over 70 games. The Gearoid O’Neill cup for the winning team was presented by Rebecca O’Neill to representatives of the winning team Donnacha Cantwell and Mikie Hassett. The teams consist of singles and doubles mixes and both boys and girls play. The league is a great success to finishing the juvenile training in the club. Well done to all who took part.
