Clare suffered a huge loss to Kerry this evening in the All Ireland football qualifer in the Gaelic grounds-the final score 2-22 to 1-06
Clare used a much more defensive system and contained the Kingdom for the opening quarter but slick forward interplay left Kerry ahead at the break by 0-12 to 0-09.
It went from bad to worse when Kerry goaled through James O donghue and despite Kerry’s Paul Galvin being sent off for a second yellow card the Kingdom romped home-Colm Cooper’s goal making him the top scoer in Gaa history.
David Russell grabbed a consolation goal for Clare midway through the second half.

The O’Moore men won out by 1-15 to 1-12,
Elsewhere Down were too strong for Tipperary – the beaten Ulster finalists claimed a five point victory, winning by 1-13 to 11 points
Kildare beat Sligo at Dr. Hyde Par by 0-013 to 0-4
