Clare Given Tough Qualifiers Draw

Finally in a sports update this hour, Clare could face Kerry in this year’s All Ireland Football Championship, twenty years on from one of the county’s most famous ever wins.

Kerry have been drawn against Tyrone in the Third Round of the All Ireland Football Qualifiers.  The Kingdom have home advantage, and that match will be held this coming weekend.  The winners then take on Michael McDermott’s men for a place in the Quarter-Finals.

Kildare/Limerick.    v  Sligo

Tipperary/Antrim.    v  Donegal/Down

Kerry/Tyrone  v Clare

Leitrim/Laois  v Dublin/Meath

 

Meanwhile, this mornings All Ireland quarter final draw has paired Waterford with Cork and Limerick against Kilkenny.

Those games take place on July 29th.
