The chairman of the 2014 Clare Senior Football and Hurling champions is calling on Clare GAA to provide each club in the county with a charter drawn up between clubs and intercounty management in relation to the availabily of intercounty players.
This past year saw a number of games in the second round of the club hurling championship being postponed after Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald invoked a 13 day rule meaning intercounty players were not required to fulfill club fixtures in the lead up to Clare's clash with Wexford.
Tonights annual convention of Clare GAA will see the motion from Cratloe debated, and their chairman John Ryan says they're simply calling for a rule already in existance to be implemented.
Meanwhile the executive of Clare GAA is expected to remain largely unchanged for 2015, with chairman Michael McDonagh, treasurer Bernard Keane and PRO Sean O'Halloran all remaining in their roles.
County secretary Pat Fitzgerald will also remain in situ for the coming year.
Former chairman Michael O'Neill is expected to take up the position of coaching officer, taking over from Eamon Fennessey.
Proceedings are underway at the Auburn Lodge Hotel from 7pm
