Clare Footballer fall to defeat against Donegal in their opening game of the All Ireland championship series at a score of 0-14 to 0-09.
Although Colm Collin’s side started strong, leading by three point at halftime, Donegal proved their strength as Ciaran Thompson shined for the Ulster outfit.

Despite good scores from Pearse Lillis and Emmet McMahon, Donegal pulled away in the closing stages to win by five points.
The other match in the group sees Derry host Monaghan in Celtic Park at 7pm next Saturday evening. Clare will next face Monaghan in the second round of the Championship away in Clones.
