Clare footballers appear consigned to another Division Four year

 

Clare look set to spend another year in Division four of the national football league after their 3 point loss to Roscommon yesterday in Cusack park.

Clare went down to the Connacht champions by 16 points to 1-10 in game which saw the home side trail from the opening minutes.

The defeat sees Michael McDermott’s side now lie in 6th palce in the table on 4 poinst with just 3 games left in the campaign.

The Clare manager was hugely disappointed with the result and told Clare FM it was a case of too many missed chances:

Wicklow top the table on 9 points with Roscommon in second on points difference.

Meanwhile , Dublin remain top of Division One in the Allianz Football League after making it five wins from five this season after a 4-15  to 3-13 win over Mayo.

Also in Division One, Paul Galvin made his first appearance of the season for Kerry as Darren O’Sullivan’s goal helped them to beat Armagh by 1-13  to 1-09

Cork are up to second place in the table after a 16 points to 13 win over Galway in Pearse Stadium.
