Clare’s football coach feels the Banner were on the back foot after the sending off of one of their key men in their National Football League clash with Roscommon.
Ciarán Russell was red carded early on in the second half of the home tie at Cusack Park yesterday, when Clare were trailing by just a point.
The Rossies ultimately emerged on top with a seven point victory on a final scoreline of 2-19 to 2-12, with Gary Brennan and David Tubridy hitting the back of the net for Clare.
