Clare have been beaten by Tipperary in the Allianz National Football League Division Three.
The 2-7 to 1-7 loss means Colm Collins side continue their recent poor run form against the Premier in league action.
It was Clare who got on the scoresheet first with captain Gary Brennan kicking his side into the lead.
That lasted only a minute as Conor Sweeney pounced to send the ball beyond Joe Hayes to the back of the Clare net for the crucial score of the opening half.
Eoin Cleary and Philip Austin then swapped frees before both Cleary and Brennan got their second points to level the game after 17 minutes.
That would prove to be Clare's last score of the opening 35 minutes though as three in a row for the Premier saw the 1-4 to 0-4 ahead at the break with the breeze to come at their backs in the second half.
The Banner responded strongly after the restart with three frees from David Tubridy and just a sole reply from Brian Fox leaving just a point between the sides.
Philip Austin then landed two in a row to put the Premier back in front by 1-7 to 0-7, with just 13 minutes to play.
Corofin's Jamie Malone then got on the end of a pass from David Tubridy to slam the ball home and level the game before Tipperary went up the field to do exactly the same through Brian Fox.
That was the games last score, with a late scramble on the Tipperary goal line being cleared just before the full time whistle was blown to give the home side the three point win.
Elsewhere in Division Three, Sligo had a 1-11 to 1-10 win over Westmeath, Longford came from four points down to beat Limerick 0-13 to 1-8, and Kildare had a 1-12 to 1-8 win over Offaly.
