Delegates at tonights Clare county convention will be faced with 45 motions on the Clar ranging from rule changes to alterations to the championships and leagues
Motions dealing with isolated players and the changing of bye law 7 to a proposal that both county finals be played in September are on the agenda for discussion.
The Clare county board tonight will hear of 9 seperate motions dealing with the contentious Bye law 7 which oversees the movement of isolated players to alternative footbal/hurling clubs.
Naomh Eoin and Ballyea are the clubs most concerned with the issue-proposiong 5 and 4 motions respectively on the matter.
Kilmurray Ibrickane are proposing that both county finals be played in September while the county champions also want Clare to host the football feile in 2017 or 2018.
Ruan are proposing a motion for central council that replays at croke park of controversial incidents be allowed while St Joseph’s Miltown malbay want the salary of the gaa president capped at 80k.
Cooraclare want the amount of footbal league divisons reduced by one to provide more games for players at all levels and Lissycvasey,in repsonse to this year’s u21 football final being played at the end of November want to see an earlier start to the championship.
The meeting gets underway tonight at 6-30 in the Auburn lodge hotel.
