O'Connor was sent off during Saturday's win over Roscommon, a decision which is being appealed by the Clare County Board.

As he received a straight red card, the Coolmeen would miss Sunday's game as things stand, though Clare are hoping to get the decision overturned.

Meanwhile, as the countdown continues to the game, goals have been earmarked as a potential gamechanger for Clare.

Clare FM analyst Joe Garry feels the Saffron and Blue will need to make and take goal chances if they're to cause an upset

Meanwhile, the GAA have confirmed Maurice Deegan of Laois as the referee for Sunday's game.

Deegan refereed the All-Ireland Finals of 2008 and 2012, while that year he also refereed Kerry's win over Clare in Limerick in the All-Ireland Qualifiers.
