There were celebrations in Clare after Noble Yeats claimed the 2022 Grand National at Aintree.

The Emmet Mullins trained runner gave jockey Sam Waley Cohen the perfect retirement gift as the 50/1 outfought Any Second Now down the home straight.

Noble Yeats was originally bought and trained by Quin’s Donal Hassett, and had his first run in a point to point under his watch before being sold on to the Mullins yard.

Tubber’s Derek O’Connor also previously partnered him in a bumper and a handicap chase in Leapordstown
